Sec. 4-110 Bonding Requirements. 11
As used in this Division “contractor” means any person, except a licensed architect or registered professional engineer, who in any capacity other than as the employee of another for wages as the sole compensation, undertakes to construct, alter, repair, move, wreck, or demolish any structure. The term includes a subcontractor or specialty contractor, but does not include an individual who furnishes materials or supplies.
All contractors and subcontractors, as defined above, must comply with the provisions of Indiana state law and must provide evidence of compliance to the Clerk-Treasurer of such compliance at the time of application for a Certificate of Registration. Compliance is verified by presenting a recorded copy of a United License Bond as required by Indiana Code. (Am. Ord. No. 2022-02, § 3, 1-13-22)
