Before any permit is granted for the installation, alteration, or repair of any mechanical devices or equipment, the person, firm, or corporation making application for such permit shall pay to the city a fee as set by the city. All fees provided for in this subchapter shall be paid to the City Clerk for deposit to the account of the city.
