(A) The International Fire Code, Fire Prevention Code, and the Life Safety Code shall be enforced by the Fire Department of the city under the supervision of the Chief of the Fire Department. The terms “Bureau of Fire Prevention” and “Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention,” wherever found in the codes, shall mean Fire Department and Chief of the Fire Department, respectively, of this city. Whenever the word “municipality” is used, it means this city.
(B) The Chief of the Fire Department may detail such members of the Fire Department as inspectors as may from time to time be necessary.
