§ 158.13 INSPECTIONS.
   The city shall inspect the zone lot for which a permit for a new sign or for modification of an existing sign is requested and/or issued. This inspection shall occur within a reasonable time of notification by the contractor, owner, and the like of completion of the specific sign. If the construction is substantially complete but not in compliance with this chapter and applicable codes, the city shall give the owner or applicant notice of the deficiencies and shall allow an additional 30 days from the date of inspection for the deficiencies to be corrected. If the deficiencies are not corrected by such date, the permit shall lapse. Once the sign is constructed and meets city’s Building, Electrical and Mechanical Codes and ordinances, the city shall affix to the premises and/or sign a permanent symbol identifying the sign and the applicable permit by number or other reference.
