Notice to any railroad company to provide lights at the crossings of the railway with the streets of the city shall be given by the city manager, or mayor upon a resolution of the city council, and shall be served on the local agent or representative of such railroad company. Such notice shall state the place or places crossing or crossings should be lighted and any other necessary facts to put the railroad company upon notice of the requirements. (Prior code § 21-16)
