A. Every person who in the service of another, shall drive or operate any vehicle for hire shall first obtain a driver's license therefor. For such license such driver shall pay a fee, as designated in the fee schedule, per annum. (Prior code § 21-8; amd. 2015 Code)
B. No driver's license shall be issued until the applicant shall make an application, setting out such matters as may be prescribed by the city manager, showing his qualifications as such driver.
C. Such application shall be made in writing to the city treasurer. The city treasurer shall issue such license after he shall find that such person is physically and mentally qualified as such driver, but no person under the age of twenty one (21) years shall be issued a driver's license.
D. Such driver's license may be revoked in the manner as provided herein for revoking the license of an owner or operator of a vehicle for hire, at any time the city council shall find that such person has made misrepresentations in his application for a license, or that he has been found driving an automobile while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, or shall find that such driver for any reason is an improper person to drive a vehicle for hire.
