A. Every vehicle operated upon the streets of the city shall be equipped as required by law. It is unlawful to operate a vehicle upon a street of the city which is not equipped as required by law. It is unlawful to fail to use such equipment in the manner required by law, or to use it in a manner prohibited by law. It is unlawful to operate a vehicle which has equipment prohibited by law upon a street of the city. (Prior code ch. 20; amd. Ord. 1593, 11-23-2004)
B. Any person producing proof, within forty eight (48) hours, that a condition or equipment for which the person was cited as defective, missing, prohibited, improper, unauthorized or otherwise in violation of this chapter has been remedied by the person shall be entitled to a dismissal of such charge without assessment of court costs. The court clerk shall have the authority to dismiss the citation without court approval. (Ord. 1593, 11-23-2004)
