Any contract for fire protection or prevention services to be rendered by the fire department for an individual owner, firm, private corporation or association outside the city limits shall provide for payment to the city at a rate per hour as set by the council by motion or resolution for time away from the fire station per call. Such rate shall be charged for each piece of equipment, such as firetruck, engine, hose wagon, ladder wagon or any other piece of equipment furnished by the city. All monies received from such calls shall go into the general fund of the city, to be used for operation and maintenance of the city government. (1985 Code)
