12-923: DETERMINATION OF COSTS AND BENEFIT:
   A.   Property owners seeking minor utility extensions shall agree to pay the costs thereof in proportion to the benefits to be derived therefrom. The proportional benefit shall be determined by the following formula:
 
Proportional benefit
= lot area X
cost of extension
area of benefit
 
      1.   "Cost of extension" shall be twice the materials cost, where construction is performed by the city/authority, or the actual cost of construction performed by contract; and
      2.   "Area of benefit" shall be the combined area of all properties which may tap the extension without further extensions of public facilities, unless otherwise approved by the city/authority. (Ord. 1354, 8-9-1994)
