A. City/authority participation in major sanitary sewer facilities providing excess capacity shall be the lesser of:
1. Fifty percent (50%) of the construction costs of the facility; or
2. An amount equal to the percentage of facility capacity represented by the required excess capacity, as prescribed below:
a. Gravity Flow Facilities: Excess capacity shall be equal to the additional facility diameter required to provide excess capacity divided by the total diameter of the facility;
Example: An increase from an eight inch (8") diameter to a twelve inch (12") diameter would be eligible for participation in thirty three percent (33%) of the actual construction costs.
b. Force Mains And Lift Stations: Excess capacity of force mains and lift stations shall be equal to the additional lift station capacity required to provide excess capacity divided by total lift station capacity. (Ord. 1354, 8-9-1994)
