2-1002: APPOINTMENT AND TERMS:
   A.   The commissioners shall assume their duties upon appointment. However, at the time of initial appointment, the mayor shall identify those commission seats which will first become vacant. The successor term of two (2) commissioners first appointed shall begin at seven thirty o'clock (7:30) P.M. on the first Monday in May 1993, the successor terms of two (2) commissioners first appointed shall begin at seven thirty o'clock (7:30) P.M. on the first Monday in May 1994, and the successor term of one commissioner first appointed shall begin at seven thirty o'clock (7:30) P.M. on the first Monday in May 1995:
      1.   Each commissioner shall then serve a term of three (3) years;
      2.   Every year, at a time prescribed for the beginning of the term of a new member or members or as soon thereafter as practicable, the commission shall elect a chairman and vice chairman. The commission shall determine the time and place of its regular meeting. The mayor, the chairman or any three (3) members may call a special meeting;
      3.   The manner of conducting business shall be determined by the members. However, the commission shall at all times comply with the guidelines of the open meeting act even if not required by state law;
      4.   The mayor may remove members for the good of the city and fill vacancies for unexpired terms; and
      5.   The city clerk or his designated representative will take the minutes of all meetings. (Ord. 1330, 1992)
