10-308: DISCHARGING WEAPONS; THROWING MISSILES 1 :
   A.   It is unlawful for any person to discharge any species of firearms, air pistol, air gun, slingshot, or discharge a hand grenade, bomb or similar device, or other weapon, or throw any missile within the city, except when necessary for the protection of life or property or as authorized by the city or state law.
   B.   The prohibition of subsection A of this section shall not apply to a licensed shooting gallery, or in common grounds or premises under circumstances which such instrument can be fired, discharged or operated in such a manner as to not endanger persons or property, and also in such a manner as to prevent the projectile from traversing any ground or space outside the limits of such gallery, grounds, or residence. Nothing herein contained shall be in derogation of the laws of the state as they now exist or as they may be hereinafter amended. (Prior code ch. 14; amd. Ord. 1248, 10-22-1985)
