9-308: SELLING PLEDGE BEFORE DEFAULT:

Any pawnbroker who shall sell any article received by him in pledge before the time for redemption has expired, and every pawnbroker who wilfully refuses to disclose the name of the purchaser and the price received by him for any article received by him in pledge, and subsequent sums, is guilty of an offense and punishable as provided in section 1-108 of this code. (Prior code § 5-26)
