9-202: DEFINITIONS:
For the purpose of this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section:
CONTRIBUTION SOLICITOR: Any person, group or organization which attempts, by request or plea, to obtain money from a person, not a member of the same group or organization for any cause or purpose when made at other than established place of meetings, business, service or activity of the group or organization.
PEDDLER: Door to door, street to street, place to place or temporary vendors of sales or services without a fixed, determined and permanent location in the city, at which he transacts his business, carries on his occupation or practices his profession; including vendors who do not sell from stock but exhibit samples only for the purpose of securing orders for future delivery of sales or services.
PERSON: Any person, firm or corporation, association, club, copartnership or society or any other organization.
TRANSIENT MERCHANT: Includes an itinerant merchant, itinerant vendor, hawker or huckster and is defined as any person, firm or corporation whether as owner, agent, consignee or employee whether a resident of the city or not who engages in a temporary business of selling and delivering goods, wares or merchandise within the city and who in furtherance of such purpose, hires, leases, uses or occupies any building, structure or shop for the exhibition and sale of such goods, wares and merchandise including person, firm or corporation who, while occupying a temporary location does not sell from stock, but exhibits samples only for the purpose of securing orders for future delivery.
