9-101: LICENSE TAX LEVIED ON CERTAIN PERSONS 1 :
   A.   A license tax is hereby levied on every person, firm, association or corporation engaging in, exercising or pursuing any of the following businesses, professions, trades, occupations or privileges in this city, in such amounts as may be set by the city council by motion or resolution:
      1.   Book agents and canvassers taking orders of subscriptions;
      2.   Junk dealers;
      3.   Pawnbrokers;
      4.   Auctioneers and vendors of medicine and other goods, wares or merchandise upon the streets:
         a.   Within the fire limits, as defined; or
         b.   Outside fire limits; (Prior code § 5-1)
      5.   Electrical, plumbing, mechanical or building contractors; and (Prior code § 5-1; amd. 2015 Code)
      6.   House movers, only when in possession of a valid permit from the city and appropriate state license. (Prior code § 5-1)
