12-534: FIRE HYDRANTS:

A. Fire hydrants shall be required for all water main extensions. Fire hydrants shall be located within three hundred feet (300') of any lot or structure, measured along the shortest public roadway route from the nearest hydrant.

B. Hydrants and installation shall comply with the specifications in the standard specifications for water line construction as prepared by the local government engineer. (Res. 901, 5-10-1977)
