Wherever the extension of public water mains is required or proposed in conjunction with the development or subdivision of land, the developer shall make provision for such extension in compliance with the standards contained herein, and the standard specifications for water line construction of the city. The standard specifications shall be made a part, in whole or by reference, of any contract for the installation and construction of any water main to be connected to the public water supply. In addition, all water main extensions shall comply with the regulations of the state health department and other appropriate agencies. (Res. 901, 5-10-1977)
