   A.   All sewers shall be laid with straight alignment between manholes, unless otherwise directed or approved by the local government engineer.
   B.   Manholes shall be installed at all changes in grade, size, or alignment; at all intersections; and at distances not greater than four hundred feet (400') for sanitary sewers of less than ten inches (10") in diameter; and five hundred feet (500') for sanitary sewers of ten inches (10") in diameter and larger.
   C.   Manhole construction shall conform to the standard specifications for manhole construction as prepared by the local government engineer. Any variation from this standard shall require the approval of the local government engineer.
   D.   Lampholes and cleanouts shall not be allowed on sanitary sewer lines in excess of two hundred feet (200') in length, measured from the nearest manhole. Lampholes and cleanouts shall be constructed in conformance with the standard plans and specifications as prepared by the local government engineer.
   E.   Sanitary sewers shall be located in street or alley rights of way or utility easements:

      3.   Sanitary sewers in street or alley rights of way shall have a minimum cover of not less than six feet (6').
   F.   A minimum horizontal distance of ten feet (10') shall be maintained between parallel water and sewer mains. At points where sewers cross water mains, the sewer shall be constructed of cast iron pipe or encased in concrete for a distance of ten feet (10') in each direction from the crossing, measured perpendicular to the water line. This will not be required when the water main is at least two feet (2') above the sewer. (Res. 901, 5-10-1977)
