4-603: ANIMAL TREATMENT GENERALLY:
   A.   Owners and keepers of dogs, cats and other small animals shall provide such animals, regardless of how confined, with food, shelter and medical attention, including, but not limited to, the following:
      1.   Sufficient wholesome food that is nutritious for the species.
      2.   Fresh, potable drinking water.
      3.   Medical attention to relieve such animals from suffering.
   B.   It shall be unlawful to leave any dog, cat, or other small animal unattended for more than seventy two (72) hours.
   C.   Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit the animal control officer or other persons from attending to dogs, cats and other small animals at any time such animals lack the necessities or comforts required herein. (Ord. 1510, 8-8-2000)
