4-435: CONFINEMENT:
The owner of any vicious dog shall confine the animal within a building or secure enclosure, and display a sign on the premises that there is a dangerous dog on the premises. The owner shall not take the dog out of the building or secure enclosure unless the dog is securely muzzled and restrained by a chain or leash not exceeding six feet (6') in length and under the actual physical control of a responsible, competent person. The muzzle must be made in a manner that it will not cause injury to the dog or interfere with its vision or respiration but will prevent it from biting any person or animal. (Ord. 1510, 8-8-2000)
