§ 150.23 BASE LINES, SEQUENCES.
   (A)   The base lines for the Uniform Numbering System shall be as described below, and numbers shall be assigned in each of the four cardinal directions, increasing from zero at the point of intersection of the base lines.
      (1)   The east and west base line shall be the line dividing township 1 south and township 2 south.
      (2)   The north and south base line shall be the line dividing range 4 west and range 5 west.
   (B)   The general rule shall be 500 numbers to one-half mile, except in certain areas where the irregular direction of the county highways makes variations necessary.
   (C)   All streets and roads, and parts thereof, running north and south shall add either the word “North” or “South” to the end of their official name, as is appropriate for their location in relationship to the described east and west base line in division (A)(1) above. All streets and roads, and parts thereof, running east and west shall add either the word “East” or “West” to the end of their official name, as is appropriate for their location in relationship to the described north and south base line in division (A)(2) above.
   (D)   All streets and roads, and parts thereof, that run at an angle, or in a curved manner in relationship to the four cardinal directions, shall be considered, and have assigned to their name, the one cardinal direction in which they predominately traverse in the county.
   (E)   Even numbers shall be assigned to the east side of north and south streets and roads, and the south side of east and west streets and roads. Odd numbers shall be assigned to the west side of north and south streets and roads, and the north side of east and west streets and roads.
   (F)   The official name of each street or road within the jurisdictional area of the Board of Commissioners shall be established by said Board.
