(A) There is hereby established the County Tourism Commission.
(B) Said Commission shall be composed of seven members, of which no more than a single majority may be affiliated with the same political party.
(C) Members of said Commission shall be appointed in the following manner:
(1) Three members by the Board of Commissioners;
(2) One member by the County Council; and
(3) Three members by the Mayor of the City of Jasper, two of whom must be engaged in the hotel or motel business within the county.
(D) The term of office of each member shall be two years, beginning January 1; except, however, that one of the initial appointments of the County Board of Commissioners, and one the initial appointments of the Mayor of Jasper shall be designated to serve for only a one-year period, in order that terms of office may thereafter be staggered.
