§ 150.16  BUILDING PER1llIIT REQUIRED; NOTIFICATION OF ELECTRIC INSPECTION SERVICE.
   (A)   All electrical wiring, including re-wiring, and additions to existing wiring, before commencement thereof; require a building permit from the city. (Old Code, § 960.1, § 1)
   (B)   Before commencing the wiring, re-wiring or additions to existing wiring, or the installation of electrical equipment and devices within the city, the property owner or his contractor shall apply for a building permit with the Administrative Official of the city setting forth the scope of work to be done. The city will transmit a copy of the building permit to the Electric Inspection Service. No work shall commence until the Service has been notified. (Old Code, § 960.1, § 7)

§ 150.17  WIRING TO BE FREE FROM HAZARD.
   All electrical wiring in the city shall, when installed for the purpose of being connected to a source of electrical energy, be sufficiently insulated, supported and protected to be free from hazards to life and property caused by over-loading, short-circuiting, and improper protection or installation of electrical equipment.

§ 150.18  AUTHORITY OF ELECTRIC INSPECTION SERVICE.
   The Electric Inspection Service, a duly recognized electrical inspection service operating within the state, is hereby designated and authorized to make the necessary inspections in order to ascertain whether or not the provisions of this subchapter are being fully met.

§ 150.19  FEE FOR INSPECTION.
   The Electric Inspection Service, shall have the right to charge a reasonable fee, which shall be full and complete compensation for services rendered by it in the making of the inspections, which fee shall also include the rendering of a written report. The fee shall be paid by the contractor or persons or persons performing or installing the electrical wiring or equipment, and no part thereof shall be paid by the city. The fees to be charged and paid for the inspections and the issuing of the certificate of approval hereinafter provided for, shall be in accordance with the recognized scale of fees charged for similar work and inspections by the Electric Inspection Service, and shall not be in excess thereof.

§ 150.20  ELECTRIC INSPECTION SERVICE TO FURNISH CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL TO THE CITY.
   The Electric Inspection Service shall furnish to the city a certificate approving the rough-in wiring, and shall furnish to the city a certificate approving the wiring when installation is complete.
