§ 31.37  ASSISTANT CLERK/TREASURER.
   (A)   There is created the office of Assistant City Clerk/Treasurer of the city.
   (B)   The powers and duties of this office are established as follows: under general supervision of the City Clerk/Treasurer, the Assistant Clerk/Treasurer shall assist in the performance of the duties of the office of City Clerk/Treasurer and perform any other duties as set forth in the employment policy of the city.
   (C)   The oath of office to be executed by the Assistant City Clerk/Treasurer shall be that set forth in Section 228 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Before entering upon the duties of the office, the Assistant Clerk/Treasurer shall execute bond to the city, with a corporate surety authorized and qualified to become surety on bond in this state, in the amount as established by Council.
   (D)   Compensation for this office shall be in an amount as established by ordinance of City Council.
