§ 71.06  VEHICLE WEIGHT LIMITS.
   (A)   No person shall operate any vehicle having a gross weight of more than 36,000 pounds on and/or over any street located within the corporate limits and maintained solely by the city.
   (B)   If any person, entity, or corporation shall first obtain a permit from the City Clerk/Treasurer then they and/or it shall be permitted to operate according to the terms of the permit.
   (C)   The permit shall not be issued by the City Clerk/Treasurer unless the person, entity or corporation shall first post a bond to the city with good and sufficient surety that they or it will pay any and all damage caused by the operation of all vehicles covered by the permit.
   (D)   The City Clerk/Treasurer is hereby ordered and directed to purchase and have placed at the entrance to all such streets, a small sign reading as follows: “Trucks having a gross weight of more than 36,000 pounds not allowed on this street unless a permit therefor is obtained.”
