§ 51.120  CONNECTION FEES OR CHARGES.
   (A)   All costs or expense incidental to the installation and connection of the building sewer to the POTW shall be borne by the owner. The owner shall indemnify the city for any loss or damage that may directly or indirectly be occasioned by the construction and installation of the building sewer. At the time of submitting an application for a building sewer connection permit the owner shall pay to the city a permit and inspection fee as follows:
      (1)   Residential or commercial buildings      $25
      (2)   Industrial establishments            $50
   (B)   The following connection fees shall be charged for all connections made to the sanitary sewer system within the city and it shall be the duty of the city to collect said fees:
      (1)   Commercial establishments. The connection fee for each commercial establishment shall be two thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($2,250.00)
      (2)   Industrial establishments. The connection fee for each industrial establishment shall be four thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($4,250.00).
      (3)   Residential establishments. The connection fee for residential establishments shall be as follows:
         (a)   Single-family dwellings, two-family dwellings, duplexes, and two-unit apartment structures, one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).
         (b)   Apartment buildings having 3 to 8 units, two thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($2,500.00) per building.
         (c)   Apartment buildings having 9 to 16 units, two thousand seven hundred fifty dollars ($ 2,750.00) per building.
         (d)   Apartment buildings having 17 or more units, four hundred fifty dollars ($450.00) per unit.
      (4)   Transient commercial/government residential-type uses and facilities for such uses. The connection fee for such use-type or facility shall be one thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($1,250.00) for each such facility plus three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00) per each room made available for occupancy/use by customers or expected users of a hotel, motel or term-occupancy, or patients of a hospital, nursing home or extended care facility, or daycare facility, or each room to be used as a classroom or restroom in an educational building or educational facility.
      (5)   Multi-use buildings and facilities. Where a building or facility has more than one permitted use, the greater or greatest fee or charge herein and hereunder for such permitted use shall be charged, exacted or levied for the sewer line connection.
