Except when the period of limitation is otherwise established by state law, an action for a violation of this chapter must be brought within one (1) year from the date on which such violation occurred or within one (1) year of the date when such violation should have been discovered by due diligence by a reasonable and prudent person cognizant of relevant and material facts and circumstances.
