§ 151.999 PENALTY.
   (A)   (1)   In addition to penalties provided by state law, a person who violates or fails to comply with a provision of the ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by imprisonment for not more than 100 days or by fine of not more than $500 or both. A violation of this chapter shall be considered a separate offense for each day the violation continues.
      (2)   In case a building or other structure is or is proposed to be located, constructed, maintained, required, altered or used, or land is or is proposed to be used, in violation of this chapter, the building or land thus in violation shall constitute a nuisance and the city may, as an alternative to other remedies that are legally available for enforcing this chapter, institute injunction, mandamus, abatement or other appropriate proceedings to prevent, enjoin temporarily or permanently, abate or remove the unlawful location, construction, maintenance, repair, alteration or use.
   (B)   No structure or land shall hereafter be constructed, located, extended, converted, or altered without full compliance with the terms of §§ 151.110 through 151.123 and other applicable regulations. Violations of the provisions of §§ 151.110 through 151.123 by failure to comply with any of its requirements (including violations of conditions and safeguards established in connection with conditions) shall constitute a misdemeanor. Any person who violates §§ 151.110 through 151.123 or fails to comply with any of its requirement shall upon conviction thereof be fined not more than $ 500 for each violation, and in addition shall pay all costs and expenses involved in the case. Nothing herein contained shall prevent the city from taking such other lawful action as is necessary to prevent or remedy any violation.
