(a) The number of off-street parking spaces required by this chapter shall be provided on the same lot as the principal use and the required number of off-street parking spaces specified for each use shall be considered as the absolute minimum. For purposes of this Zoning Ordinance, an off-street parking space shall be no less than one hundred eighty (180) square feet in area plus adequate ingress and egress provided for each off-street parking space. All parking facilities shall meet the requirements of the "Americans with Disabilities Act" (ADA). Required off-street loading areas shall not be included as off-street parking.
(b) For the purposes of this section, floor area shall mean the gross square footage contained within the exterior walls of any building or structure.
