There shall be a Board of Cemetery Trustees consisting of five members, the same having heretofore consisted of three members, with the five members' terms to expire at such time as the elected officers are installed in office who are elected at the next succeeding municipal election. After the expiration of such members' terms of office, the Mayor shall appoint one member for a term of five years, one member for a term of four years, one member for a term of three years, one member for a term of two years, and one member for a term of one year. Each year thereafter, after such municipal election has been held and the newly elected officers have been qualified and placed in office, the Mayor shall at the first meeting of Council appoint one member to the Board whose term of office shall be five years.
