Effective January 1, 2001, the Police Department shall have the following uniform policy:
(a) Each new hired full-time officer shall receive a full uniform complement as currently set forth in the Village Employee Manual or the Village Police Policy Manual.
(b) Each officer currently employed as a full-time officer on January 1, 2001, and each newly hired officer in the second year or any subsequent year of employment, shall receive a five hundred dollar ($500.00) uniform allowance to clean, replace, repair or supplement his authorized uniform.
(c) The allowance shall be paid on a voucher basis with the officer presenting a paid receipt and proper voucher to the Clerk for reimbursement.
(d) Said allowance shall only be used for the purpose of authorized uniform equipment as set forth in the Village Police Policy Manual.
