155.01 RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS.
(a) Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 9.481, the Ohio Supreme Court decision in Lima vs. State (2009) 2009 - Ohio - 2597, and to insure adequate response time by employees of the City of Dover to emergencies or disasters, the following employees of the City of Dover are required to reside in Tuscarawas County or any of the counties adjacent to Tuscarawas County:
(1) The Police Department full time employees;
(2) The Fire Department full time employees;
(3) All Department Heads including superintendents and assistant superintendents;
(4) The Director of Telecommunications;
(5) The Service Director and the Safety Director;
(6) The Mayor’s Executive Assistant;
(7) The Service Director’s Secretary;
(8) The Utility Office full time employees;
(9) The Park Department Secretary;
(10) All Electric Light Plant full time employees and the Electric Field Division full time employees;
(11) All Street Department full time employees;
(12) All Cemetery Department full time employees;
(13) All Park Department full time employees;
(14) All Water and Waste Water Department full time employees.
(b) It is the specific finding of this Council that all of the employees of the City of Dover listed in this section are subject to call in for disasters and emergencies.
