143.03 EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE.

(a) The Fire Department shall operate the emergency ambulance service provided by the City as authorized in Chapter 961 of the Streets and Public Services Code.

(b) The Director of Public Safety shall establish the number of persons necessary in such department and the minimum requirements to be obtained by those department personnel in order to comply with the intent of this section and the requirements of Ohio R.C. Chapter 4731 relating to the operation of an emergency ambulance service.

(c) The Fire Chief shall be responsible to the Director of Public Safety for his department's operation of the emergency ambulance service under such general rules and regulations as may be prescribed by the Director of Public Safety.
