1355.08 RECOVERY OF EXPENSES AND COSTS.
Any expenses and costs incurred by the City under the provisions of this Housing Code for the demolition of defective buildings or structures shall be paid by the owner of such structure and premises. If the expenses and costs of demolition are not paid by the owner, they may be recovered by the City by an action at law against the owner, or the total of the expenses and costs may be assessed against and become a lien upon the property containing the nuisance which has been demolished and may be placed upon the tax duplicate affecting the property in the manner provided by law for such assessments. The foregoing remedies shall not be mutually exclusive and each of the same may be pursued by the City concurrently with the other as independent methods of collection.
