1313.14 CERTIFICATE REQUIRED BEFORE WORK.
   No electrical wiring shall be installed, altered or repaired in the City, without first obtaining a certificate to do so from the Department of Public Service. Electrical certificates shall be issued only to the holder of an electrical contractor's registration or the bona fide owner of a single-family residence, as permitted in Section 1313.03(a). No certificate shall be required for any industrial work except that installed in new structures. Applications for such certificate shall be made in writing on forms prescribed and provided by the Department of Public Service. Such application shall state the name of the person, firm or corporation that is to do the electrical work, the names and addresses of the owner or owners of the building or property in which the work is to be done and when such work is likely to be commenced. When requested by the Department, the applicant for a certificate shall furnish to the same a plan and specification completely describing the work to be installed before a certificate shall be issued. Such plan and specification shall remain on file in the Department.
