1311.07 BOARD OF PLUMBING EXAMINERS.

   (a)    Duties. It shall be the purpose and duty of the Board of Plumbing Examiners to determine the competency of an applicant for a registration as a journeyman plumber to install plumbing according to the City Plumbing Code and the State Plumbing Code, in order to protect the health of the residents of this City. The Board shall accomplish this by examining each applicant and shall limit the scope of examination as prescribed in examination subjects.

   It shall also be the duty of such Board to revoke and/or cancel registrations issued under the provisions of this chapter.

   (b)    Members. The Board of Plumbing Examiners shall consist of two plumbing contractors holding registrations in the City, one journeyman plumber registered in the City and the Building and Zoning Codes Administrator.

      (1)   The Mayor shall appoint the three members above mentioned; one for a term of one year, and two for a term of two years.

      (2)   Upon the expiration of such original terms and thereafter, the Mayor shall appoint successive members for a term of three years each. In case of resignation, removal or disability, the Mayor shall fill the unexpired term by appointment.
