1311.01 SCOPE AND INTENT.

   The provisions of this chapter shall apply to and govern plumbing as defined in this chapter, including the practice, materials and fixtures used in the installation, maintenance, repairs, extension and alterations of all piping, fixtures, appliances and appurtenances in connection with any of the following: sanitary drainage or storm drainage facilities, the venting systems, the public or private water supply systems and the gas piping systems within or adjacent to any building, structure or conveyance; also, the practices and materials used in the installation, maintenance, repairs, extension or alteration of systems conveying storm water, liquid wastes, sewage or water supply from any premises to their connections with points of public disposal or other authorized terminals. Plumbing further includes the installation of water softeners, water heaters, food grinders, laundry and dishwashing machines, and all other plumbing-connected appliances. (Ord. 31-67.
