753.01 PERMIT REQUIRED; FEE; EXCEPTION FOR POLITICAL ADVERTISING.
No person shall throw, cast or distribute any handbills, circulars, dodgers, placards, samples or other advertising matter in or upon any step, door step, porch, veranda, grounds or premises of any person, firm or corporation, or upon the streets or alleys of the City, for the purpose of advertising any entertainment, show, theater or wares and merchandise of any kind, unless such person, shall have obtained a written permit from the Mayor to do so. The Mayor may issue such permit upon the payment of a permit fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00). The permit shall be valid for only one such distribution. However, this chapter shall not apply to political advertising.
