505.04 ABANDONING ANIMALS.

   (a)   No owner or keeper of a dog, cat or other domestic animal shall abandon such animal. (ORC 959.01)

   (b)   The term “abandon” (or “abandonment”) does not apply to the Tuscarawas County TNR Project Inc., or their approved representatives.

   (c)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree on a first offense and a misdemeanor of the first degree on each subsequent offense.
