There is hereby created the anticrime task force commission pursuant to authority granted under section 7 of the anti-crime advisory council act, 20 Illinois Compiled Statutes 3910/0.01 et seq. The commission shall constitute a local anticrime program under said section 7. The purpose of the commission shall be to provide funds to local law enforcement agencies for activities and programs designed to prevent crimes involving drugs and alcohol.
