A dwelling shall comply with the following standards:
(a) The dwelling shall meet the minimum square footage requirements for the district in which it is located.
(b) The minimum width across any front, side or rear elevation shall be at least 20 feet of continuous exterior wall.
(c) The dwelling shall comply in all respects with the Michigan State Housing Construction Code and all pertinent fire codes.
(d) The dwelling shall be placed upon and secured to a permanent, continuous foundation in accordance with the Michigan State Housing Code.
(e) The dwelling shall be connected to those public utilities as required by the Village.
(f) For the purpose of this chapter, a basement or cellar shall not count as a story and the breezeway or garage shall not be included in the computation of ground floor area.
