(a) Intention. It is the intention of this section that the Village be designated as a reciprocal unit of government. This designation will provide for the preservation and continuity of retirement system service credits for public employees who transfer their employment between units of government.
(b) Designation. As to the retirement system established by the Village, the Village shall be, and is hereby declared to be, a reciprocal unit of government, as that term is defined in Act 88 of the Public Acts of 1961, as amended, C.L. 1970, Section 38.1101, et seq.
(c) Adoption of Act by Reference. The Village hereby adopts by reference Act 88 of the Public Acts of 1961, as amended, C.L. 1970, Section 38.1101, et seq., and makes it a part of this chapter as if set forth herein in its entirety.
