Notwithstanding the availability of the foregoing compliance order procedures and penalties, whenever the compliance officer determines that any building, or portion thereof, or the premises surrounding any of these, fails to meet the requirements set forth in this chapter, the compliance officer may issue a violation tag summoning the responsible person into court or request the issuance of a criminal complaint and arrest warrant. Additionally, license suspension, revocation, or non-renewal may be undertaken by the city whether a compliance order or violation tag has been issued.
