The City of Dilworth deems it necessary to provide for the special and express regulations of alarm systems which are designed to signal the presence of a hazard requiring urgent attention and to which the Police Department or Fire Department personnel are expected to respond, in order to protect the public health, safety and welfare. The purpose of this chapter is to encourage alarm users to maintain the operational reliability and proper use of alarm systems and to reduce or eliminate false alarms. This chapter governs systems intended to summon police and/or fire response, establishes fees, provides for penalties for violations, and establishes a system of administration. This chapter does not apply to vehicular alarms.
