For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
USED VEHICLE. Any motor vehicle as defined in M.S. § 168.27, subd. 1(j), trailer as defined in M.S. § 168.002, subd. 35, motorboat as defined in M.S. § 86B.005, subd. 9, as they may be amended from time to time, or other type of machinery or equipment, for which title has been transferred from the person who first acquired it from the manufacturer, distributor or dealer; or which is being resold by the original owner after it has been placed in a actual operation.
USED VEHICLE DEALER. Anyone engaged in the buying or selling, or in arranging the buying or selling, of a used vehicle.
