§ 90.21 IMPOUNDING.
   It shall be the duty of the members of the Police Department and the dog catcher of the city to capture and impound any dog or cat found unlicensed and any dog or cat found running at large, and give notice to the owner of such dog or cat if known, in case the owner of the dog or cat is unknown, such officers shall post notice at the pound and at the City Hall, that if the dog or cat is not claimed within five days of the posting of the notice, it will be killed. If such dog or cat is not claimed, the dog catcher shall kill the dog or cat and dispose of its carcass. An impounding fee and any other charges incurred will be levied against the owner. Should this or any other animal owned by the same individual be impounded the fee will be increased for each additional offense.
