§ 1-2-9 COMPENSATION AND DUTIES OF SPECIFIC BOARDS.
   (A)   Membership on the following Boards and Commissions is set at seven (7) members each.
      (1)   The Accommodation Tax Advisory Committee which is empowered and entrusted with the responsibility to make recommendations on the expenditure of revenue generated from the Accommodation Tax.
      (2)   The Planning Commission which is empowered and entrusted with the responsibility to undertake and complete all necessary plans as required by law, administer the City of Dillon subdivision law, revise and amend the City of Dillon Zoning Ordinance as necessary, and assist Council with investigations and studies as requested.
      (3)   The Board of Zoning Appeals which is empowered and entrusted with the responsibility to hear specific appeals relating to the zoning law of the City of Dillon Zoning Ordinance.
      (4)   The Board of Governors which is empowered and entrusted with the responsibility to hear specific appeals relating to the International Building Codes, as adopted by the South Carolina Building Codes Council.
   (B)   And that each Council member and Mayor shall select, with the advice of the City Manager, individuals who reside within the city limits, if qualified, to fill these positions with such selections becoming effective upon approval by majority vote of the elected City Council.
   (C)   All terms shall continue as provided for those already appointed. The terms of the newly appointed shall expire when the appointing Council member's term expires. The selection to the existing vacancies to be filled with assignment by number and lot.
