§ 2-1-6 SUSPENSION OR DISCHARGE.
   The Chief of Police may peremptorily suspend or discharge any police officer for neglect of duty or disobedience of orders but shall within twenty-four (24) hours thereafter report the suspension or discharge, and the reason therefor to the City Manager.
