§ 1-7-7 TIME OF TAKING OFFICE; CONTESTED ELECTIONS.
   (A)   Newly elected officers shall not be qualified pursuant to state law until the regular Council meeting in April next following the date of the general election.
   (B)   If the results of the election are contested, the incumbent who fills that contested office shall hold over until the contest is finally determined.
