§ 1-7-6 ELECTION COMMISSION.
   (A)   The Council shall appoint an Election Commission which shall have the powers, functions and duties as prescribed by law.
   (B)   Commission appointees shall serve for a term of six (6) years, provided that initial appointments shall be made in a manner to provide for staggered terms and in accordance with state law.
